Lessons are processed without a system!
Translations are very basic and often incorrect. I'm trying to learn my girlfriends language, so luckily I have someone to correct mistakes. The app makes A LOT of mistakes regarding translations, and often leaves out important information regarding sentence building, conjugations, and so on... After a quick google search I realised this has been a problem many years. The app is also designed in a way to make it really hard to cancel your subscription...

Teacher who does not come to class!
The teacher I book for first time using this app canceled my class unfairly. Reason he doesn't teach children at the moment...but I am 45 years old... There is no customer service or support, it seems is a scam

I really liked my instructor and the conversations we had. But I was very frustrated by the lack of formal curriculum and lackadaisical approach to customer service. My instructor was often five or 10 or even 15 minutes late for our one hour class, and I always needed to end on time. My final class, she was a no-show because of a confusion on her side. We finally connected for half an hour out of the hour on Google meet. But Preply refused to provide any type of discount or additional half hour of instruction after saying that they would...

It is an unreliable and unacceptable learning platform. Sometimes tutors didn't even show up to class after first making the payment and their support eventually told me that next time they will consider similar complaints non-refundable!! So that means they first want me to pay them and if their tutor doesn't show up to class, they won't refund me!! I will never use this platform again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I can not get access to the language I requested to learn. I paid for a 6 month package and cannot even get on to unlock the language I requested. Emails go unanswered. I want a freaking REFUND!!!!

Unreachable Customer Service!
The process of signing up is simple enough and the tutors are pretty good, however one can only assume that as a Ukrainian company they need money. They now sign up only for a subscription of 12 months .. which whilst you can cancel they do not allow any refunds , I noticed after they took £108 pounds from my account , no way of contacting them in anyway and like Most of these “ online only “ companies they have your card details so they just continue to charge your card contact method is by sending links to the faq pages or cut and paste them ..

Unaware of my credit card cut money!
The "Subscriptions" terms are there to bilk people out of their money. They could place an automatic stop to the Subscription if unused for a given month to keep from stealing from the subscriber. But no. They would instead steal rather than make long-lasting relationships with the customer who would pay for the services year after year. Goodbye, Preply!

When I canceled my subscription, my fee was not fully refunded!
Preply subscription service is designed to steal money off customers. Preply does not allow you to get a refund. If you have any changes in your schedule you are punished for it by money not being returned. Basically, any money you upload onto Preply - consider it gone for good. You will even struggle to transfer funds from one tutor to another. Their support chat is very generic and unhelpful. It gave me wrong advice which resulted in me losing money. You can not be flexible with the number of hours per week with their subscription service.
